Beaver and Bud Hand Knit Vintage Curling Sweater
How Canadian is this? Beavers, bud, and what looks a lot like a pipe on the back…
I bought this for myself a few years back and it gets a lot of smiles and comments whenever I wear it. But it’s time to pass it on- don’t bogart that sweater, my friend.
This sweater was originally knit by someone’s granny back in the 50s from Mary Maxim pattern 456. It has aged well but over the past 60 years it has gotten a bit of wear. There is a small stain on the back- see photo 3. I’ve never had anyone comment on it- it’s minor and very light. Overall, though, this sweater is in very good and completely wearable condition.
